The TK Lady Trojans season came to an end last night to back to back state runners up Forest Hills Northern. Although FHN is ranked 3rd in the state TK came to play and took an early lead when Monica Bluhm punted a ball from her keeper position to Kylie Adams. Adams made a great turn on her defender beating her around the outside and taking it all the way in to beat the keeper and go up 1-0. The remainder of the first half was dominated by the trojans and with some great goal keeping from FHN they weren’t able to convert.

The second half found the trojans on their heels as FHN came out strong. This didn’t stop the trojans from scoring opportunities though and several missed just wide or were great saves by the keeper. The equalizer came at the 6:50 mark of the second half where a great shot outside the box found the back of the net to tie the game 1-1.

A fast break lead to the winning goal for FHN at the 11:57 mark. From there the trojans settled in but were unable to find the net to tie the game. With just seconds remaining on the clock and the whistle about to blow a FHN player took a long shot that lofted over the keepers head to finish the game 3-1.

The lady trojans will miss our four seniors who have put so much into this program. Kylie Adams finishes her career 6th all time in goals with 41, 10th all time in assists with 15 and 7th all time in points with 97. With only playing in 56 varsity games this is amazing!

Tess Scheidel finishes her career 19th all time in goals with 19, 16th all time in assists with 12 and 16th all time in points with 50. Tess will go down as one of the best to ever win a ball out of the air with her head scoring on multiple corner kicks and crosses.

Corissa King leaves our program as a great defender for us. She started most games this season and was a captain for us. A great example of a true leader.

Madison Alverson was our manager this year due to injuries that have kept her off the field. Her dedication and commitment to the team says a lot about who she is!

These four will be missed but should be proud of their accomplishments. Two Conference titles and 2 district titles in the past 3 seasons.
