The TK Trojans finished up a delayed game due to lightening. The game was called last week with 8 minutes remaining in the 1st half. Tonight the trojans earned their 5th shutout of the season by defeating Wayland 2-0. Both teams battled hard to the end but it was TK who came out on top. The first half saw two goals for the trojans which would be the only goals in the game. Ellie Adams played a great long ball into the box where Kylie Adams was able to beat the keeper who came off her line with a header to make the score 1-0.
The second goal came at the 28:24 mark when TK earned a free kick outside of the box. Ellie once again played a ball on the ground to Maddie Raymond who slotted it in to make the score 2-0.
Tonight the trojans picked up where they left off and applied a lot of pressure to the wildcats outshooting them 23-5. With some good goal keeping from Wayland and the trojans not keeping the ball on frame they were unable to convert. In the end the trojans got a big conference win to move to 8-4-1 on the season and 4-2-1 in the OK Gold. TK travels to East Grand Rapids tomorrow night where they face another tough OK Gold opponent. Game time is 6:45pm.
