The TK Lady Trojans kept their winning ways tonight with a win against Hastings. The trojans dominated from the very start and with some very strong play from the defense didn’t give up a single shot all night long. This earned the trojans their 5th straight shutout and their 9th of the season.

The trojans would get on the scoreboard early. After several shots sailing wide and high along with some solid goalkeeping from Hastings the TK trojans would get on the board at the 13 minute mark. Maddie Raymond would beat a defender on the left side of the field and play a ball across the net where Ainsley Oliver was making a run towards the near post. Ainsley would put the ball in to put the trojans up 1-0.

At the 21 minute mark the trojans would double their score off a corner kick. Emma Bainbridge played a ball into the box where Monica Bluhm used her head to play it back across the front of the net. Kiah Nichols was there to put it in to go up 2-0.

The trojans would continue to pressure the Hastings defense but weren’t able to find the net again. TK moves onto the semi-finals and will play next week Wednesday, May 29th at Byron Center. They will take on the winner of the Ottawa Hills and Grand Rapids Christian game. Game time is at 5pm.
