It was a good day to be a Trojan! The ladies of the TKHS cross country team brought home the Barry County Championship Trophy. Three of the top seven girls earned first team All-County (Jessica Durkee, Elizabeth Meyering, and Audrey Meyering), while the remaining four of the top seven earned second team All-County (Georgia Kaboos, Kendall Snyder, Shylin Robirds, Bree Bonnema). After laying it all out there in the regional meet only two days prior, the girls went to the well one more time. I am proud of all of them. In my mind, this was an important win for us. For us to show up on the grounds of the Gilmore Car Museum, and to take the top spot was a good way to provide positive energy at the end of a long season.
Regardless of our place in any meet, these girls are top shelf. I’m very proud of who they are as athletes, but even more proud of them as the young ladies that they are. With regards to representing their school, families, and community well, and as far as giving it all they had, they were very successful this season.
