The TKHS girls JV team opened up their season with a victory over the visiting Bulldogs. Both teams started off slow with the score only 6-4 at the end of 1 in favor of the home team. The Trojans picked up the pace for a 20-11 halftime edge and never slowed down, finishing off with a 47-34 win. Leading the team in points was Freshman Paige VanStee who netted 13 (along with 3 rebounds, 2 assists), followed by Claudia Wilkinson who put in 10 (pulling down 5 boards also).
Ashley Snyder (8 points, 6 rebounds) and Anna Harmens (6 points, team leading 8 rebounds) both had good games as well, with Audrey Mulder-DeHaven having a solid all-around game with 4 points, 5 rebounds, and tied for the team lead in both assists and steals with 3 of each.
Also getting in the scoring column were Freshman Tyah Jefferson with 4 (plus 3 steals and 1 block), and Gracie DeWent with 2 (along with 3 assists).
