Thornapple Kellogg’s JV girls welcomed the Hawks from Forest Hills Eastern tonight. The TK defense was solid from the start, their press not allowing the visitors any rhythm right from the start, leading 13-1 at the first buzzer. Claudia Wilkinson paced the way for TK with 8 (of her team-high 17) in the opening quarter. It was never close after that, with a balanced team effort keeping the big lead. Anna Harmens had a great game with 5 points to go with team-leading 8 rebounds (also 2 blocks and steals). Tyah Jefferson also was solid, with 6 points and also 2 blocks to go along with a rebound, steal, and assist each. Sydney Purdy led the team in steals with 5. Nine girls got in the scoring column, and all 11 active players got in, took at least 1 shot, and got at least 1 rebound.

All other scoring:
Paige VanStee – 6
Savannah Bronkema – 4
Gracie DeWent – 3
Corrin Replogle – 3 (also 4 steals)
Sydney – 2
Ashley Snyder – 2
