Game Recap

The Trojans scored a season high 28 points in the first half and played tough defense, which has been their strength all year. It was nice to see some shots fall early. We feel as if we have had good looks at the basket for the better part of the year, but just haven’t been able to knock them down. TK stretched an 8 point lead at half to 10 at the start of the 4th. The Hawks heated up in the final period and actually took the lead in the final minute of the game. The Trojans tied it with a triple from the top of the key, got a big stop on the other end, and in the final possession grabbed 2 offensive boards and forced a foul with 1.5 seconds on the clock. Senior Matt Lark made the first and in an attempt to miss the second, drained that one as well. FHE threw up a desperation 3/4 court shot at the buzzer, but was off the mark. All joking aside about Lark’s made free throw, he finished the game with a season high 20 points. Levi Thaler was the spark plug in the first half, knocking down big shots, creating turnovers, making free throws, and crashing the offensive glass. He brought the energy and everyone else followed. It was a big win for the Trojans who head to South Christian this Friday to close out the first round of conference play!
