The TK Varsity Tennis team improved their record to 4-0 with a hard fought 6-2 win over Hamilton on the Hawkeyes home courts. Hamilton is always one of the top teams in the region. We knew going in that this would be a much tougher match than the previous three.
All four singles players fought hard to win some of the longest matches of the day. Three singles players lost their first set, but fought back dominating the last two sets. The doubles teams continue to improve and played solid tennis. The surprise of the match for TK came from the 3rd doubles team of Lauren Kroells and Braelyn Durkee. The Hamilton match was the first time the two had played as a team. They turned in a dominant performance winning 6-3, 6-1
The Trojans play at Lakewood (doubles) and Ionia (singles) Saturday in an eight team tournament. The team will be trying to win the Lakewood Invitational for the second year in a row.
