Game Recap

South Christian used a 22-0 second quarter to take control of the game an pull away 64-32 against the Lady Trojans. ” I felt we did a great job in the first getting out to their shooter and forcing them to either put it on the floor or shooting over the top of us. We lost containment in the second and then Jen DeBoer got things going with three from long range including one right before the halftime buzzer.” TK did a great job in attacking the vaunted “Spider” defense of South but just couldn’t get things going defensively after falling behind. “We just couldn’t get the stops necessary for us to get back in the game. Overall the girls played until the final buzzer.” Alyvia Thorne led the way with 8 points & 2 steals. Taylor Pratt came off the bench to finish with 7 points & 3 rebounds. Brandi Weslow led the team in rebounding with 7. Makayla King had four steals. TK will take on Catholic Central on Tuesday at home and then finish the regular season against Hasting on Friday which will also be Parents Night for both the boys and girls programs.
