Game Recap

The TK Lady Trojans battled with Ottawa Hills and come out with the 52-43 victory. After trailing 26-19 at half, Ottawa used a 16-9 third quarter to even up the score at 35 heading into the the final stanza. “I told the girls that we had to focus on the defensive end of the floor. Coming out of the locker room we continued playing strong on that end but we didn’t close out the possession with the rebound and that allowed them to get those extra opportunities to score.” TK regained control in the fourth with key steals and six quick points from Alyvia Thorne. TK got huge contributions off the bench as Brandi Weslow attacked the basket and grabbed a team-high 8 rebounds to go with her 8 points. Grace Shoobridge also came off the bench going 4-for-4 from the field finishing with 8 points and 4 rebounds. Alyvia Thorne led all scorers with 21 points to go with 4 steals. Holly Hall chipped in with 7 points & 5 rebounds. Amiyah Vandergeld finished 5 points and Lauren Ricketts finished with 3 points & 6 rebounds. TK will be back in action at home next Friday as they will take on South Christian.
