The Middleville TK Competitive Cheer team is headed back to the State competition after finishing second at Regionals this past Saturday. The Lady Trojans are looking to cap off an already impressive season with a state championship trophy. Led by coaches Abby Kanitz and Amanda Loehle, the Lady Trojans finished the year with four 1st place finishes to win the OK Green/Gold Conference for the fifth straight year. With the experience of the upper classmen, the Lady Trojans finished second in their District with a score of 754.46 behind only St. Joes. In Regionals the Lady Trojans finished with a score of 762.32, which was only second to DeWitt. The 2nd place finish qualified them for States for the second consecutive year. Finishing 6th last year, the Lady Trojans will look to finish top in the state in Division II. The State competition will be held at the Delta Plex in Grand Rapids on Saturday, March 7th at 10:00am.
