Game Recap

The TK Lady Trojans season came to an end tonight in the regional semi-final game against Marshall with a score of 2-1. It was the end of both halves that got the better of the trojans. The first half saw a lot of back and forth with both teams getting opportunities. With just seconds left in the first half Marshall got the ball up to Kate Face who put a couple of nice moves on the trojans defenders before falling down in the box. She got up and was able to play a ball to the corner to make the score 1-0. In the second half the trojans came out strong and saw opportunities but the bounces wouldn’t go their way. Finally at the 21:56 mark Sarah Posset evened the score to make the game 1-1.

What seemed like a half where the trojans were going to maybe get a second goal or go into OT quickly turned to a loss when Marshall had the ball in the box against 3 TK defenders and happened to get a foot on the ball. The ball dribbled under TK keepers hands and just into the goal with 2 minutes left in the game to seal the win for Marshall.

TK finished the season with an impressive 18-3-1 record. A huge thanks to our 5 seniors. TK’s future looks bright as they have lots of talent returning and a lot of underclassmen with promising talent.
