Game Recap

The trojans moved to 4-1 on the season with a big win over a tough Cedar Springs team. TK outshot Cedar Springs 8-1 and from the beginning dominated play and possession. The middle for TK lead the way by controlling the pace of play and finding the forwards making runs. “I felt like our middle is so solid right now” said coach Strickland. Tess, Haley and Possett are doing a great job of controlling the game for us and that makes it so much easier on our forwards and defense. Overall we are playing great as a team.”

In the first half the trojans had some great opportunities but Cedar Springs defense kept them from breaking through. In the second half the trojans kept possession of the ball and most of the play was down on Cedar Springs side. Finally at the 17:31 mark of the second half Reegan Edema played a great ball into the box where Sierah Adams got her 5th goal on the season to make it 1-0.

The trojans would keep pressure on Cedar Springs defense but they did a great job of keeping them from putting the game out of reach. Finally at the 33:06 mark Tess Scheidel played a great ball to Alyvia Thorne who had a beautiful shot in the upper 90 to make it 2-0.

TK has one day of rest and will be back at it on Monday when they host Vicksburg. Game time is at 6:45pm.
